Meet Heather
Heather Waibel (MBA, CSM) is the winner of the Mitre Women in Health Tech Award and the NJ STEM Entrepreneur of the Year. She started her first company at the age of 23, Fumee, a cigar bar and media company where she was featured in publications like Cigar Snob, Cigar Magazine and The Wall Street Journal. Heather also created and hosted the world's first cigar podcast in 2006. After an exit, Heather went on to spend half a decade at PayPal, leading international operations teams across EMEA, APAC and LATAM. Heather left PayPal in 2016 to start Welnys, where she is building the world's largest marketplace of health and wellness professionals for the workplace. Today, Welnys powers corporate wellness programs for PayPal, Walmart, The City of Boston and others in over 60 markets in the US. Welnys is an alumni of exclusive start-up accelerators ERA and MassChallenge. Heather speaks German and has traveled to 6 continents, 39 countries and 29 US states.
